Are You Experienced? Mitch Mitchell cuts tracks in town.
Many many drummers pay homage to the triphammer timing and general ground
breaking percussive style found in classic Jimi Hendrix songs such as
"Purple Haze", "Fire" and "Are You Experienced?"
recordings that exhibited the power and imagination of one Mitch Mitchell. It's
easy to get overshadowed by a rock pioneer such as Jimi Hendrix but Mitchell
proved time and time again he was every bit the innovative equal. On October
24th, Mitch Mitchell met Wilmington recording artist Bruce Cameron (in photo
to left) in Cameron's recording studio to cut tracks for Cameron's upcoming
album, "Midnight Daydream". Other rock legends such as Michael Bruce
of the Alice Cooper Band, and Billy Cox and Buddy Miles of the "Band of
Gypsys" have done sessions for Cameron's forthcoming effort.
